Google redirection host entries

Have you ever faced the following problem. Everytime when you do a google search, and click on a search result, you are getting redirected to another site. There are numerous different sites that pop up, it is different every time. I am sure that at least few among you should have to face this problem. Alright, so what do you think? No doubt it's malware. Okay, here is the first step you should check to resolve this issue. Go to the following location in windows platforms C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc There you will see a file named as hosts In simple words, hosts file is a computer file used by an operating system to map hostnames to IP addresses. This method is one of several methods used by an operating system to locate network nodes on a computer network. So here is the trick if you map the ip address with a different domain name it means that whenever you visit a domain you will be get redirected. So to resolve this issue simply open the hosts file in notepad. Analyse the host file. Suppose if you have found something like 89.149.227.223 google.ae 89.149.227.223 google.as 89.149.227.223 google.at 89.149.227.223 google.az Oh, my gosh. That's it. It looks suspicious. Definitely it is. Delete those entires. Save the hosts file. Restart the system. Voila. Google redirection issue is fixed. I would like to add some of the google redirection host entries.
