Hi, After the great defeat with Indian team in the 2nd one day match, ricky ponting pointed out that the facilities provided for the match practice were poor and so they could not practice well which lead to their defeat. Does it affect the team if they did not practice for only one day? Why do aussies always carry on sledging when are considered to the best cricket team in the world?

No I dont think he said anything about the practice facilities for the second ODI. He said that the pratice pitches were damp ahead of the third ODI which has still not been played. To be honest I would also be pissed off if I turned out to the stadium only to find the pitch wet and unusable. All the plans that they had in mind would have been destroyed and they dont have a proper net session before a game. Its international cricket, the curators and authorities should have known better. Practice before the game is important and players usually make adjustments before matches if they have been doing things wrong. I would say Australia have been let down by the authorities. Anyway if I have missed something about the practice condidtions of the second ODI could you please provide a link.

Yes, you are right. I was mistaken . He was talking about the practice conditions for the 3rd one day.
