Misunderstood - what is the one thing people don't get about you?

October 30, 2009 1:48pm CST
We often have a very strong picture of ourselves in our mind. We know who we are, how we come across. And then someone says that they think we are completely different. Maybe you think you are shy, but others say you are outgoing. You think you are a good listener, but others disagree. You think you are laid back about your career, but others think you are very ambitious. What is the one thing you think people misjudge you on?

That's an interesting topic to raise. Most people think I'm a lot more shy than I really am, simply because I'm a fairly quiet and reserved person. People assume that because I'm quiet, I'm shy - which I'm not at all.

There certainly is a difference between being shy and quiet. Thanks for the comment.

People think that I am happy-go-lucky, worry-free, with almost no stress in my life. Apparently I'm very good at fooling people because I have a lot of stress and worries! Also, I'm convinced I'm shy but whenever I say "I'm shy," that gives people a good chuckle.

You must be a good actress. I imagine it is difficult sometimes when everybody thinks you have the perfect happy life, but in reality you feel the pressure and stress. Take care of yourself.
