I've been seriously considering buying my first house because I really need more space for when my family comes to visit, and a backyard, and I could use some tips I've been watching HGTV to learn a bit more about the home buying process, and besides my mom and I really enjoy watching house hunters together, anyway I really want to buy my first house, but unfortunately I have less then perfect credit like a lot of people, and of course that can make it a bit difficult to buy a home, so my question is are there any reputable programs available for US citations to get financed? and if so whats it called? and if you have any tips or other information I'll be very glad to read it, thanks.

Well you sure picked the worst time in 30 years to try this! right now money is so tight they are only loaning to the people with the best credit ratings! the first thing you should do is try to get pre-qualified for a loan! This is vital for you to no before hand if you can even do it or not! Then next step is to find an experienced Realtor someone that's been in the business for at least 5 years! They will know the market in your area and possibly if you can get a loan thru another source, such as owner financing! This would require a large down payment, so if you fell behind they would take the house back and keep the cash! These are the very fist steps, there's no sense in going out and looking and getting your hopes up, you'll be wasting your time and you'll go on an emotional roller coaster for nothing! I was in real estate for a while and this is the skinny! tdemex

Hello apples99 this is checkmail and though no from usa but still can tell you some of mine ideas of buying an home.Well according to me the home must be located in nature surrounded by trees and flowers and lakes or sea side for health reasons and must be not far away from markets, transportations, hospitals, offices etc.The interior requirements should also be of our choice like space given for each room as well as comfot requirements needed for us.

well, in our country, we don't buy houses, we will buy an empty plot and we will build our own house .. this is much much costlier than buying a built home or an used home.. we can tell our plannings to the architect and ask him to to design according to our wish, he will do three to four design and we can choose, if we are not satisfied with that, he will design again... then after design we pass to civil engineer to start the construction.. this is the most common practice in our country... i suggest you to construct your own house..it will be better...
