What's the best way to start a blog?

Seriously, I want to start blogging. What's the best way to get started, and to publicize it as well?

i think its better that you start your blog in www.blogger.com coz this site is simply blog for beginner and not too difficult to start it. there is guidance and help on this site :)

Yes, go to blogger and chose your name and template, then just start posting. It's really that easy! My blog is http://cakespace.blogspot.com/ . I've changed my template somewhat. You have access to the html code so you can customize to suit you. : )

I have just started to get into the blogging world. For a newbie, like myself, I find that blogspot works really well. After I have got it up and running for a while and have done a few more posts I am going to start submitting it to directories to try to get some traffic flow in there.
