Well i know most people in our Country is Celebrating Valentine day, but why not We Celebrating Halloween. I know a few people in Indonesia actually Celebrate this day, but it is only a small community with a few member in it. Do you know why Halloween is less popular then any other special day? Thanks

Not all Indonesian people had costumes on that's day, so only a few people celebrate Halloween. It was different from Valentine's day as we need to give gifts to people we love. Many western cultures into our country, but it was only a small part and perhaps a tradition that we have.

Well yes, i think the problem is the costume, since it need a lot of effort and money to create such costume. And with that much effort and money, using it just for one day seem really are wasteful. It is different with valentine day where we usually only give the one we love with chocolate, which actually more cheaper and easier to get. Thanks.

c`mon guys, i had a simple answer for your question. Halloween is american culture which originated from Ireland. off course Indonesia had many unique culture too. i think culture is come from the habit of the people living in that places and maybe the culture is not suitable apply in other place.

Yes, i think it is not because of the culture, but most of the effort maybe. It is hard enough to celebrate Halloween because we need to make a costume of ghost, evil spirit, etc. And making that costume is a lot of work, but well that is my opinion. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Well i never said i am not proud being an indonesian. I actually pretty proud, and doing other culture doesn't mean we lost our identity, because our culture will still exist if we keep using it, it doesn't matter if we use other culture as well. I just think, that it would be great to play Halloween because it will be fun to see people in scary costume walking around scaring people. I think it will be a very funny experience.

You do not!! simply because it is not your custom. Anything that is inculcated in one's custom comes naturally. However, if it is not within your way of life, then it will not be part of it. The other small percent who celebrates it are being influenced by the western life.Happy mylotting!!! and happy haloween!!!!!

Yes, but valentine day actually also was never in our custom, but it can really slide in very easily since most of the youth in Indonesia Celebrate them. But maybe, it is because it is very easy to celebrate valentine day. On the other hand, making a scary custom for a trick or treat it is a lot of work. Well thanks anyway for sharing your opinion with us.
