Do you believe that Trident gum can prevent cavities?

I think in a small way it can help prevent them, because chewing after a meal will help to wash away some of the food particles that are left behind. But you would still have to brush, floss, and see a dentist regularly to really help prevent cavities.

Happygal took the words right out of my mouth. This is always what I have read as well, and because Trident is sugar free it does help a little bit.

I agree. And if you're out at a restaurant and don't carry around a toothbrush, you could always pop a piece, as well as rinsing out your mouth with water in the restroom after your meal.

of course not that is just marketing...it´s just to people buy, don´t believe in that and brush your teeth!!!

I don't know about that, but I definitely brush my teeth. Being a smoker and coffee drinker, it would be pretty bad if I didn't. :-)

I highly doubt it, no matter what 4 out of 5 dentists say.

Personally, no I don't think so. Might help a bit, but won't prevent them alone.
