Do you like colored contact lenses?

I bought my first ever pair of contact lenses about 2 months ago. I bought the hazel-colored ones and I loved them from the very first time I wore them. My friends all tell me that the color really suited me, made me look more exotic. Well, friends are friends! hahaha

I remember one time in the English learning center where I work, a female student (a teen) approached me and asked me outright if it really was the natural color of my eyes. I told her they were contact lenses, and she told me she really liked them. It was a bit awkward as she kept staring at me for a few minutes before she said, "I really like them. It looks like....... a lizard's."

It was a really funny moment for me as I was waiting to be flattered! But ended up being compared to a lizard. ugh, BEASTLY THINGS!! Well, how about you? Do you like contact lenses, especially the colored ones?

I got contact lenses when I was 20 years old. I has two week lenses at first in Australia and then in the UK I had month lenses. Now I have daily disposable contact lenses. I have green eyes and I have often wondered what I would look like if I had blue eyes. If I got colored contact lenses I would be able to try it out.

We have an optical shop where you can check out what color fits you. You can really test the lenses first before you buy them. I've tried the gray and hazel brown. The gray looks okay, but makes me look more exotic and other-worldly, so I stuck with hazel-brown!

I wear glasses all the time. I will only wear contact lens when I go out for wedding dinner, some gathering or functions. It is better to wear contact lens when we dress in pretty clothes. So far I have yet try any color contact lens. My daily disposable lens has just finish. I will visit the optical soon and maybe it is time for me to get a color contact lens. If there is a free trial then that will be good!

Hi there aixsha! Yes, i do love contact lenses especially the colored ones. I used to have glasses before but was getting rid of it because i think it doesn't fit me at all. lol. Anyway, I have 3pairs of contact lenses now. They are aquamarine, cinnamon and peppermint. I always bought the one that can only be used for 6 months since my friends used to have a year lenses. They said its not very comfortable to wear since its give you eye irritation even if its not yet a year.:) Good thing i was not told about what that teen said to you. Hope you're not going to hear responses just like about the lizard anymore. :) Have a great day!

Hi! Wow, I'd like to have those colors too! But I'd like to see if they suit me first! Hahaha.. I have 6-month lenses now, because it's the cheapest that I could find with good quality. I have a friend who had year lenses but had to get rid of them because she had an eye infection. I was really surprised when she told me that! I really stopped what I was doing and simply stared at her with a goofy face.

And I was thinking of being compared to a lion or something. A Lizard, sheesh! Hahahaha

Thanks for the advice! My friends are hard-headed at times and tend to sleep the night through without taking off their lenses! Hahaha.. I'm the one who actually reminds them to take them off!

Hi again! Of course, you need to fit them all and choose among different colors with different brands that suit you:) Eye irritation and infection usually occur when the lenses are expired (cause at times, others still use it), or if it is itchy to wear already but they are still putting them on, or probably you wear it and sleep for over an hour. In my case, i used it everyday, but during lunchtime of one hour at work, when most of the time I'm sleeping, I'm still wearing them on. I usually do it and nothing happens.Good thing! Hope you can get an advice out of it, since this is your first lenses. And most likely your friends have told you about the do's and dont's of it already. Forget about the lizard's thingy dear, you never know, by tomorrow, you're gonna hear a nice response! Enjoy your lenses!Goodnight!

I'm not too fond of colored contact lenses... but I mean its for cosmetic purposes. Why not use colored contact lenses? People use coverups, foundation, lipsticks to enhance themselves or become someone else. I guess its cool! =] and lizards have amazing eyes. you do, as well!

I'm not too fond of makeup especially when worn everyday! Hahaha... I don't really know how to put them on, and contact lenses are a bit more hassle-free for me? That's what I think.. hahaha

I am wearing contact lenses for medical purposes but mine dont have color in it. Anyway, i love it. It's much more comfortable than glasses. Im going to change my contact lenses in about 5 months and im going to get colored ones.

no,contact lenses is a little troublesome and i hate trouble but it really can make you become more larruping.maybe this is why so many girls prefer to wear tham

i kind of like colored contact lenses too. but i have never tried them.. i have a friedd who owns an eye care shop.. he showed me some samples whih can be used for 3 months period..i was so attracted to those colors and i might use them one day... and i dont like to use too attractive stuff.. hazel is fine..

yeah i like colored lenses. i once saw a guy wearing one. he is a pinoy but his eyes are blue. LOL. so beautiful to look at. he looks great on it.

Whoa. A Pinoy wearing blue contact lenses? I've seen some who do wear blue ones, but I don't really think it fits

yes i really want them but they are not in budgte. coloured contact lenses are very costly. currently i have red shaded contact lenses but i also want green. have a nice day.

I wear contact lenses daily because eyeglasses tend to be foggy. Contact lenses are the best for me. I've been using them since 25 years now. I have never tried colored contact lenses though because I think I would look funny. Contact lenses have gone a long way since I started using them. I used to lose them all the time because they were colorless. The current ones I use now are sort of tinted (but not colored ones) which make it easier to find them on the sink whenever I lose or drop them.

My sister wears contacts too! She has the same kind as you do, lightly tinted to distinguish them from each other and from the floor, sink, etc. My lenses are actually for vanity's sake, as they are merely colored lenses, with no grade. I only chose the color that suits me, as I think far out colors would merely look funny on me. But if I could try other colors without having to buy them first, I'd like to try and see if they look good on me! Hahaha.

i like contact lenses colored for cosplays, like naruto's sharingan eyes or byakugan, i've no eyes problems so i've never weared contact lenses, colored lenses are not for eyes problem but i've never weared them too. last year i searched for colored lens for the sasuke sharingan cosplay, but their price was too higt, about 200 € for a single lens, too much for me.

Whoa, I think that's too much already. I saw some online stores that sell contact lenses with designs around 600-1000 pesos. I'm not that comfortable if I should wear the contact lenses only once and have to pay a high price for them.

For me, I don't have a habit of wearing colored contact lenses. Yes, I never used any colored lens and have no plans of wearing one either. You see, in my eyes, Asian black eyes are fine and I really love it.So, I don't want to disguise it with artificial means. Perhaps some people believe that blue are more beautiful but I am really proud of my black big eyes. Have a nice day!

I'm Asian too, but I wanted to experiment with how I looked. And basing on my friends' comments, it was a good change. I only pick the colors that suit me, though. And I don't wear them all the time, only when I feel like wearing them

I've tried shopping for contact lenses online too! But my friend discouraged me, as she told me I might not be sure if the colors suit me. So she suggested that I go to a local optical shop here and try on the colors they have - just for free! That's where I bought my pair

Hello aixshaonline this is checkmail and am also attracted towards coloured contact lenses, its just beautiful to view.Am myself never given a try at contact lenses but many of mine earlier friends use to wear it to just add some glamour or due to visibility pro.And yeah it looks cool and s..y, simply mind pleasing as the colour attract mine attention towards it.The colours of lenses are really cool much more than gogs.I prefer gogs most of the time.

I actually bought the lenses for vanity's sake. Well, not that I like buying for vanity, but because I've been wanting to buy colored lenses ever since I can remember.
