I love to give to people. I like the surprised look they get on their face and the excitement of gift giving. I could care less if I get anything at all as long as I have made someone else happy. Now that I'm a mom it is even better. I love seeing my boys face when they open their presents. I just like doing nice things for people...even if it's just giving up my seat on the bus. It makes me feel good.

I think sharing give you the feeling of happiness and contentment.sharing is a very good habit and one should not be always selfish.we should only expect from others,we should give them back too. if you give you get many rewards in return.you get blessings and love in return.

Certainly there is a great feeling when you are able to help out someone. There is also a great feeling when you give to someone. I do agree with you that giving is really something that will enlighten our heart. Of course, its is also great to received something, but when you reach out to someone, and give them something the happiness and excitement goes back to you.

Yeah, it's precisely true that "it's better to give than to receive". If you really want to give, its better not to expect in return. As I have observed giving to the others makes me more comfortable and a lot of blessings come to me. It's actually a good example to your self on how to deal it properly. Happy mylotting!

For me it's the opposite because of the ecconomy since I have nothing to give so I would rather receive but dose not make me selfish since if I had a lot of money I would be donating it to the poor but since I dont have any money its kind of hard to donate.

I think that it's good to do both with balance! I don't believe in the idea that you should give in hopes of getting something back, this would definitely be the wrong motive, actually motive should not be involved at all. It's nice to share things and spend time together with friends, this is all a form of giving. I am grateful for everything I have in life and it isn't much but I'm really grateful. I have a friend who helps me out and I also help him out and it's all a form of give and take and it works. I think that this definitely helps the world to go round! Andrew

"Better to give than to receive is a common words of phrase". It is really better to give than to receive, my friend. Because this action will show how you are and how pure your heart would be... I always share what I have if it is necessary. Even do sometimes I ask too...but most of the time I shared all what I receive that is bless from God...Have a great day!

In my opinion, the old saying "Tis better to give than to receive" holds so much truth. You see, the amazing thing about giving is that it benefits both the giver and the receiver, and more often than not it feels better to give than to receive. While receiving a charitable donation or service is uplifting, nothing compares to the feeling you get when you know you've helped someone. Giving others will enrich ourselves, and receiving from others will lessen ourselves.

i like receive,if its my earning. as like as my salary or receive profit from my business deal. I'm not in the habit of the receiving unconditionally. without giving and contributing from my side, receiving some thing from others i really don't feel good. my heart thought that all giving is an expression of joy and happiness. giving some thing to people, will always make me feel better so. and my giving are not done for the purpose to getting something back. but some time if some one give me something, no matter if its very little, i really feel thankful and try to give hime some thing as soon as possible.
