Why are there separate perfumes for men and women. What happens if women use perfumes meant for men and vice versa. Musk is meant for men. Why?

I know that designer brand Commes de Garcon makes perfumes that can be worn by both male and female.as long as the scent is not too manly and not too feminine,I think both sexes can wear it.as long as the scent is not too floral or sweet,a guy can wear that perfume.at the same time, the scent shouldn't be too pungent so a girl can wear it also.

I use perfume for both men and women. If you use perfume quite often and know something about perfume, then you will understand why perfume is produced separately for both genders. Men's perfume is designed light so that it attracts women; women's perfume is made to lure men, and it lasts longer than men's. It is ok for girls to use men's perfume, but vice versa, nope!

As men and women thinking ability differs their sense of smell differs too. It is as simple as color choice that women are more attracted to color pink and boys towards blue. Some smells are feminine where as some perfume smells are strong enough to recognize guy choices.
