I always check the labels, first I watch carbs and sugar intake so I want to check if I don't already know what that food has. And second (but isn't really second), I check the ingredients, as I don't buy anything containing sugar, any kind of sweeteners artificial or natural, additives. Yes, I end up mostly shopping for fish, meat, fruit and vegs. But I'm happy with that. So I also help fighting excessive packaging!

I have been eating more healthier and always look at the labels. I watch very closely the "sugar free", "fat free", low sodium, lean meats, etc... Even though, they say that doesn't always mean it is. Just because it is fat free, doesn't mean they don't make up for it in the sugar!!! I watch for trans fat, sat fat, and carbs. The high carbs doesn't help in the healthy eating for it turns to starch and starch turns to fat. I don't eat much vegetables or fruit and watch for the drinks, many of those are high in sugar. Then I get the less sugar, less fat, or sugar/fat free snacks for myself and my son. He is only 6 so he don't know the difference and many of them he will eat. :))
So yes, I do check the labels.

Hi BART78,
I know I should check the labels but I never do. I try to eat healthy most of the time so I usually know what I am buying. I mostly buy fresh produce so I stay fairly safe.
But you are right people should always make a point of checking the labels to see what is in their food
The only labels I seem to check these days is the price

LOL!, ofcourse if your are buying those fresh produce food you don't really need to check the nutritional value, but still be mindful of the NV if you are buying like can goods, bread, sandwhich spread, etc..have nice day!!
