Well to start what is your blog going to be about? What are the subjects that are going to be dicussed on your blog? Are you trying to just have a mylot blog or are you going to have another avenue for hosting? Blogs are fun but there is also some work involved with them. Try to start with the basics first, whats your blog going to be about? I hope this helps.
