Have your favourite music style changed?

Two years ago I would have said to anyone that my favourite music style is heavy metal and I basically only listen to rock and metal music. Today I can say that I still like heavy metal but I have started to listen other things also. I enjoy classical music now more than I have ever before. Do you think it has something to do with ageing or I'm just getting more open minded?

Hello. Age may have some influence on likes and dislikes. But, my favorite music has been classical music since my college day. I still love listening to classical music every evening, Chopin, Brahms, Mozart, Beethoven, Johan Strauss. I keep a collection of CDs of classical music. In fact, I have a collection of CDs of songs and music of other countries too, very beautiful and enchanting !

I think it might be both. When we are younger, we are attractive to a more rebel sound. As we get older we become more mature and I wouldn't say conformist, but more mature in what we like. The same way when we are younger we enjoy more childish things. I myself listen to every genre, and happen to enjoy listening to rock and metal music. Nice glasses by the way: )

Thanks I love those glasses. I have been listening metal since Metallicas Reload album, I guess I was around 14 then but I grew up with the tunes of Rolling Stones (my dads a stones fan). I'm suspecting that the change might be influenced a little by the fact that my boyfriend listens mostly dance and pop music. I guess I have been adjusting to that a little too.
