Is this really possible?

Have you ever thought that what happened on the movie come also happen to you? I only get 3 to 4 hours of sleep a day. There are times that the stress level is so high up that you would simply want to shout but you can't. You are a supervisor that everybody looks up to. Everything you will do will influence your workforce. I think the people that can best relate with this movie are the ones that gets very minimal sleep. This movie is very interesting in the sense that it is purely original and that there is also somewhat a great big question that is inside. The things that are in the movie, can that also happen to me? Being able to threaten your boss is also a cool thing that we wish is possible. =)

I think prolong deprivation of sleep can cause health issues. They probably wont be immediate ones but they can most definitely affect you in one way or another somewhere down the road. I don't know whether you can hallucinate as much as Edward Norton did in Fight Club but that's definitely a scary thing to think about.

Lol. As of the moment, I haven't encountered some hallucination. I have encountered some instances that I did something that I could not remember I did. Maybe its a first step?

Well I believe some people who develop insomnia tend to develop a schizophrenia but it's clear all this was a BOOK PLOT developed by Chuck Palahniuk, the author of Fight Club in a first place. We all know we imagine ourselves being better, talking to each other to pursue ourselves we can do something hard and unreachable, and we tend to imagine ourselves as better persons. That's how the narrator was imagining himself - he imagined all things missing in his life, all the ways he wished to be free (which he wasn't) and developed a severe case of schizophrenia. The idea is so awesome, but it would never mean a thing if the movie didn't came out (again - a masterpiece one of my favourites) thanks to the genius of David Fincher and the great performances by Pitt and Norton. People who relate to the movie are people who are generally dissatisfied with their life, we can all FEEL for the protagonist, put ourselves in his place, which people who are happy HAVE NO IDEA HOW... they weren't there, they didn't feel it, thus can't empathize with others... the main idea about the movie is about freedom, breaking off from materialism, breaking off from destructive relationships, breaking off from things you do not need, breaking off from false hope and expectation, and realizing all your potential for being human (if you do not claim your humanity, you will die a statistic, Tyler Durden). This movie is much more about anything else, than fighting, and it's more about males and male loneliness, due to being crippled by women and broken families (if you had a father, he was probably never at home, or always came drunk). It's a brilliant piece of modern work that should get all the acknowledgement that it can get and NO, if this has to be my final answer, because I got carried away, I don't believe it's possible for a person in the real world who only doesn't get enough sleep to become the next Tyler Durden. I however believe that it can cause him mental problems and end him up in a madhouse one day, if he ignores any treatment...

I think that some part of a movie are happening to some people, at some place, somehow, sometimes, some day, anyhow. If you are not getting enough sleep, then one of these days, you will suffer the consequences. It may not be immediate, but the body is programmed to have a good night rest. Your job may provide for money but you will be using those money later to spend it in yourself when you are sick. I hope that you take care of yourself more than a job.
