I find myself often following my friends into discussions because I can't find anything interesting, and I know when I enter the discussion that I already have people there I can relate to. So do you guys follow your friends around Mylot to find something to respond to?

Yay. I am officially a follower. Never saw that one coming. Not actually tried it yet, but plan on doing so the moment I become bored. It seems like the more thorough the discussion and more people involved, that the greater the result shall be. =)

I wouldnt say I follow a friends disscussions around or even participate in everyone of theirs because some dont share all the same interests as I do. The best type of social network to have are your friends participate in your discussions, and you participate in theirs; but only were you share a common interest. BTW I received your message and will send you a review once I've got a handle on it.

No.I have it set up so I receive a email whenever Any of my friends start a post.I spend most of my time trying to find posts that my friends started to respond to.When Iam Finally caught up,I pick posts out of my list of interests, especially hockey. It is rare to find fans of hockey so when I do,I latch on.

Yeah they are finally starting to score without Kovalchuk, and Pavelec has been standing on his head in net lately.

If you use the search button at the top right hand corner of the screen you can check in advance if you are duplicating an earlier discssion. " do you have the habit of sometimes following your friends around Mylot" I did 3 months ago. It's best to check first as duplicate discussions tend to get deleted.

Yes, I do, because, as you say, I know I'll find something interesting to respond to. It's a kind of talking, but a nice kind, and the bonus is, you get to know your friends even better. Also, friends will reciprocate, so you get a nice lot of responses to your discussions.

This is not something I have done, but it does seem like a smart idea. Probably a good way to get good, interesting discussions started and keep them going.

Yeah I love doing this amy, because it helps to keep from getting bored and just reading through pages of stuff I might like.

When I first login, I go straight to "friends started" and comment on my friends' discussions before going to "responded" to see if there is any further communication required there. When reading through discussions my friends have started, I have often been impressed by a comment there, and have gone to that person's profile to find discussions they have started, thinking that if their discussions are as good as that comment, they would be worth reading and participating in. No, I do not follow my friends around. I think that would be classed as stalking. I do follow up on a good comment from someone who is not currently a friend and reply to some of their discussions. If I reply to a discussion from "today's top" or somewhere else, and find it interesting, I will visit that poster's profile and see if he/she has other interesting discussions. Isn't that how we meet and make friends?

hi solared odd you should bring that up because thats what I have been doing today, and I keep coming across your 'name so yes I have been following my friends around today' and commenting on things.seems sometimes I could not find anything I could relate to, not that they were not interesting but that they were things I had no knowledge of so could not make an intelligent answer to.For example I am not into sports much, and stay away from politics so those i have to skip.

i do that too to most of my friends. i know their discussions are worth reading and responding to. the best way to follow your friends is to set the "notify on" to every friends you have in your friends list. i have done this a long time, to most of my friends, and that includes you.

Hi solared, You know I do try to respond to friend's discussions first, because well I just feel that since they're friends, that I just want to support them. Of course if it's a discussion that I really have no interest in or am clueless about, then I won't respond to it because I won't really have anything of value to contribute. Well, unless they'd prefer that I just ramble on about nothing or anything else, just for the sake of posting a comment? Well, I've had a couple of people do that to me and I responded back because I just thought it was funny, and I'm not really an uptight person to get annoyed by that.

I tend to have a few friend that i have turned the responses on in the friends section on here, that way when they start a new discussion i get an email and go straight to that discussion then i do not have to look far to respond to a discussion.I have alot of friends that start great discussions.

Basically, I just post, and if is one of my frieds disucssions, then that is cool, but I don't go looking for them. I do have lots of friends, and in a way it is hard not to follow them around, I don't actually try to figure out where they are at, if that is what you are asking. In a way, I do like to respond to ones that aren't my friends as well, as by doing so, it can lead to anohter friend, and it has. I have had some thank me for being their friend and helping them when they needed it. I am glad to do it, as I was helped when I first came in here too, so I am just returning the favor. After all that is part of mylot too, is being able to help ohters that need it, whether they are our friends or not. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Same here. That's why when I read discussions and responses, and I find that one is interesting, I usually request to be friends. I find that those who are my friends here in mylot are the ones often times creating interesting discussions. Yes, we want to earn by responding to a lot of topics, but it helps too if the topics are interesting.

Yeah my friends are interesting alright...lol I tell you guys a top too, just because you may not get any post credit for responding to people, you should still do it because it shows you are friendly, and you never know they may rate you higher, or may make a another interesting friend.

There are many times here I am known to follow my friends in here and their discussions not because I cannot find anything else to respond too, but mostly because I feel if I am responding to the discussions that my friends in here start than I am doing them a favor, and hopefully they will take time to notice and want to respond back to some of the discussions I have started in here as well.

Sometimes when the discussion they comments on are relevant and of good discussion, would likely to follow but most of the times i find myself alone like a silent operator..since some friends are quite busy then have different timezone so it hard to keep track of their activities unless you go to their profiles.
