Should I read the Twilight series?

I know that the series and movie, soon to be movies, are extremely popular. BUT it just seems to me that it is widely a teenage girl thing, yes I know that there are tons of people out there that love the books that don't fall into that category and I mean no offence to them. So I just would really like to take a poll as to whether or not I should read the books? What do you think?

If you enjoy watching movie then no need to read book because you might not enjoy movie as all suspense will come out from book only if you finished reading book already. I enjoy watching movie live characters and curiosity through their actions and expressions so avoid reading books. Same with Harry potter series, so many people go mad buying book as it launch in market but I enjoy watching movie series.

Well, yes if you enjoy reading and spending time in to it then it's best for you but I am not much into reading big lengthy pages hehe

I feel that the series was written rather amateurishly. If you want a well-written book, I suggest not to read it, but if you are curious or have time to squander, why not? Bear in mind you wouldn't get the time back =P

I thought the book was completely boring and I had the hardest time getting through it. There is a ton of writers out there that write in the same genre that do a much better job of it. I haven't seen the movie either, even though I am a big movie fan. I didn't see how the movie could be much better than the book.

Yes, i would suggest you read the Twilight series first before watching the movie. Especially now that the New moon is coming out in theaters. Twilight movie is not very much detailed so for you to understand the whole series better read the book ;P
