yey ^^ thanks for the wonderful adjective you have to described Filipinos.. hehe.. yup we are friendly. because when we see a foreigners here in our country. we are curious on them. we want to talk to them, and help them when they need help. but sometimes most of Filipinos has a hard time in approaching foreigners because some Filipinos can't hardly speak English. but they will keep on trying even though they English is too bad...

I didn't give it much thought until recently. I mean, I have friends from there, and know the national language is Tagalog. I also know I love some of the food. But my son moved to the island of Leyte recently, so my interest has grown. He's getting used to the jungle living and really loving it.

Yes, he learned Cebuano and is now learning Wari Wari. Every week he and his room mate have to draw a week's worth of water from a well and purify it for drinking. He said there is plumbing in his "apartment", but when they turned on the water, all they got were ants. He does have fun times though, "jungle sledding" seems to be a favorite activity. So far, Filipino egg roles are my favorite.

Philippine is a beautiful country. It is rich in natural resources though its not as rich as the old times but still is. Economically, the Philippines is also rich, consider the huge amount taken away from the government by the corrupt government officials. Tne unliquidated travel advances of the previous presidents, the sale of government properties, where are those now? The luxurius trips of our presidents to other countries which are not so productive. The pork barrels given to congressmen which go directly to their pockets or their personal investment. Government agencies are run by corrupt people and even during this times of calamity, corruption still prevails. Good thing there are still Filipino people who amidst these kind of government brings honor to the country. To mention a few are,Lea Salonga, Paeng Nepomuceno, Manny Pacquiao, Charise Pimpengco, Arnel Pineda, students who won in international science and math quizzes, and a lot more. You see our government has nothing or little to do with them,in terms of support for their achievement. But these people have brought great honors to the country.

Hi! sorry i did not preview my response above before posting. [LOL] What i mean in the first paragraph is, the wealth of the Philippines goes to corruption. If we are to compute all the wealth stolen from our government i am sure the Philippines is rich country.
