Not always healthy ? Oh , why is that ? Well, the saying goes on, and I have been eating apple often, though not every day. I buy apples whenever I go to the grocery store. I do feel refreshed when I eat apple or when I drink apple juice. I think it is helpful for the health. Besides, I like the taste of the fruit and the juice.

yes i agree the statement "an apple a day keeps the doctor away". Well, it will surely take more than a daily apple keeping you healthy. What it makes you healthy is stepping in the right direction. Apple are tasty, easy to carry as snacks, low in calories, very natural mouth refresher, and comparatively inexpensive. In medieval period, holistic healers were taught that cooked apples can make one free from the disturbances of the intestines, lungs, at the end of meals arose due to its favorable effects on digestion as promoted by the physicans. Apple is a source of both soluble and insoluble fibers. Soluble fibers such as pectin actually help preventing cholesterol buildup in the lining of blood vessels' wall; therefore it can reduce the risks of atherosclerosis and cardiac disease. The insoluble fibers in apples provide bulk in the gastrointestinal tract that holds water for cleansing and moving food quickly through the alimentary canal. It is good to eat apples along with their skins as almost 50 per cent of the natural vitamin C content is just beneath the skins. Eating the skin will also increase insoluble fiber content as most of apples' fragrance cells are also centred in its skins and as the fruit ripens, the skin cells produce more aroma and flavor. There are plenty of varieties of apples on the market nowadays, althought most people have only enjoyed one or two of the very popular. The taste of apples is sweet, sour, soft, smooth of crisp and crunchy. However, it depends upon the variety you choose. The apples are the fruits liked by almost everyone as it is healthy and tasty! bye take care

Well, if you threw one apple at your doctor every day, I'm sure he wouldn't want to see you anymore. LOL. Okay, I kid. I think it's just a saying to remind us to eat healthy so we don't get sick and see the doctor frequently.

The saying sends a message that apples are good for everyone cause they have fiber. The truth is the redder or darker a fruit is, the better and that's because of its anti-oxidants. I heard that the best fruit is blueberry. If you buy fruits such as apple you can check how it was grown by looking at its sticker. If the 4-digit PLU code starts with 4, it means they used pesticides on it, if it starts with 8 it means that it was genetically modified or they injected some glucose sugar in it to make it taste sweeter...or did something to make it look redder. If the sticker code starts with 9 then its organic. This is how it may help you remember these initial code numbers: 4 is a bore I hate 8 I'm fine with 9 Apples are good but gotta wash them really good also before eating them whether they're organic or not. Hope that helps.

id say an apple isn't the best fruit if your going for health because they are usually very full of pesticides compared to other fruits. thats more a guess than a fact i could be wrong there. but id say a really healthy anti doctor fruit solution would be something with a lot of vitamin c like oranges or mangoes they r yummier too :D

Not really, a balanced diet of carbos, protein and fats is important and not only apples can make you strong.
