Do you have the common KITS at home?

Some of the must-have kits at home are the medicine and sewing kits. I feel like any home wouldn’t be called a home if these stuffs are missing. Some consider them as small stuffs only and shouldn’t be taken that much attention. But whenever you need them and they’re not there, you feel like growling for frustration. I really wanna have them since my umbrella’s strings are always pulled off. That’s the purpose of my sewing kit. My son is a toddler and because he’s hyper, he falls down to his knees and get wounded. In this case, my med kit would be a great help as first aid. Do you agree with me? What are the common kits you have at home?

Yes. I do. I also have some off the counter medicines like Crocein, vicks, relaxyl, iodex and stuff besides ofcourse the first aid kit and the sewing kit, although I hate stitching! I believe in homoeopathy and I also have a homoeopathic kit which contains common medicines like nux vomica, carbo veg, arnica etc which come in handy for simple ailments.

Hi flagella, I agree with you, we need a common kit at home so that it will be handy in need especially small kids at home. Earlier I didn’t have the habit and after my elder born I realized the importance of keeping an emergency kit at home. Sewing kits also we need most of the time and I have the same too at home. It is not easy to approach a tailor for small things and nobody won’t be ready to do the silly works.

We do keep a medicine kit and sewing kit. Ever since I was little, my mom definitely knew where to get things. As if she was able to memorize every details of our house. As for me, I always keep a handy medicine kit with me because you'll never know when you will meet an accident and it is best to be prepared always.

Medicine and sewing kits are the most important kits to have in the home especially when there are children in the home.

We do have a first aid kit and a sewing kit too in the house. First-aid kit is very important especially if you have a growing children which tend to have minor injuries every now and then. Mending shirts, pants and dresses too is a common thing done in our house. Even though my wife hates to do this (it makes her fell old maid, lol), she still tend to mend holes on our children's dresses. She hates to throw it away in the attic.

it's a must that you have these kits.it's not only useful for those small knits but for other stuffs too. most mothers know how to knit and it's a plus factor for us. we just don't throw clothes that were just a bit worned out. we just need to sew it and knit some designs.

Yes I agree with you flagella... every home should have common kits since you'll never know when to you them and its better to be prepared all the time. During my childhood days I don't understand why we have a small overhead cabinet with medicines and other stuff but now that I have a family of my own I find it very useful especially if you have kids :) br, jamzy

I agree with you some kits you have to have. I have two boys and I am very clumsy so I have a first aid kit with everything I could ever need in it. I also keep a tool kit handy. You never know when the vaccume will crap out and need fixed or the boys take something apart and I have to fix it. LOL! I also have a dog kit. I have three dogs and we like to take them everywhere with us. So I have a kit with things like, water and food bowls, extra leashes, extra collars, benadryll....one is alergic to bees, all there shot records in case something happens away from my vet...ect... It has come in hand a few times. ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always!~ Copper

Well, I definitely think that a first aid kit should be compulsary in every home! I have a first aid kit myself and it has been very useful to me in the past. This is the only so called kit that I own. I'm not that keen on sewing or anything like that so I don't have a sewing kit. I definitely don't mend the holes in my socks with a sewing kit! I just go out and buy new pairs of socks when I need them! I'm into computers and things so I have a small computer tool kit which comes in very useful. Andrew
