Ok well I bought a dishwasher about 6 months ago and I use the soft gel pellets for the dishwasher. But I ran into a problem though, I have no money to buy the pellets for the dishwasher. So I was wondering can you use regular dish soap? I was going to give it a try but I decided not to just in case it will ruin the dishwasher, I am not even sure if it is possible to use dish soap in the dishwasher. So any advice would be grateful. I wouldn't try regular dish soap if I were you. The sudsing agent in dishwasher soap is controlled so if you used regular soap, I think you would have a kitchen full of soapy water all over the floor. I will tell you that at Walmart, I've been buying their liquid orange scented gel dishwasher soap. It is a lot less expensive than other dishwasher soaps and I've been so pleased with the result. I don't have soft water at my house so some of the other products would leave a film on my dishes. This Great Value gel leaves my dishes clean and spot free. Like I said, it's only like $2.88 for a whole big bottle that lasts me for at least a month.

I am so glad that you responded to this discussion. Well I will agree with you on the soapy bubbles on the floor. Although my toddler boys would have a blast...LOL. I am going to buy a bottle of the great value kind. I know I was having trouble with my dishes coming out with spots and I was getting irritated with it. I am glad that you told me about what you use. Now that I know that I should not try it, I will just wash them by hands till I buy a bottle of the great value kind. Thanks for your advice.
