hi friends, how are you everybody, would you like to go our past for a few mins. yesterday i met one new friend, we talked eachother about our starting married life, here most of our friends had married, so, why can't put this discussion here. are you ready my dear friends, well, i will start mine, i met my partner on november 29th 1998. in our culture, first we have to send photographs to eachother and then if the groom and bride like each other then they follow the procedures, like this me and my partner liked eachother, so, one day, the 29th nov, ravi and his parents came to our house, to see me directly, and we talk to eachother separatly, what friends are you laughing, he ask me some questions about studies, and cooking etc..., after sometime we except eachother, then after nine months we got married. on 29th August 1999. this is my little bit starting story, what friends are you going to think about that life. so what about you my dear friend, please share your words about that life. thank you, have a nice day.

My husband and I have been very happily married for almost 50 years. I was an accountant at a business which supplied farm tractors, implements, spare parts, service etc and he was a sugar cane farmer. We met at my work and talked often before we started dating in May 1958. We became great friends as we came to know each other better. We were engaged 13th July 1859 and we married 19th March 1960 when we pledged our commitment to each other for a lifetime.

I met my husband at work. He was actually my boss then. WE of course started as colleague/friends and as time passed by we learned to appreciate more each other and later felt that we can't live without each other. We realized that we want to grow old together and that made us decided to get married. Until now we're so in loved and happy living together with our two kids.

THanks! We practiced this "give and take" relationship-- no insecurities with each other, one compliments the other and appreciate each others uniqueness.

Sounds like a nice homely and endearing way to get to know the person you end up marrying. My story is a little different. I got a rental with a girl who was living in a townhouse and needed a partner to share the townhouse and pay half the rent and other expenses. After a very long time, a few years in fact, she told me she loved me and that I wasn't getting any younger and needed a person to take care of me so why not start a permanent relationship. That was the only time I actually was with someone who might have married me. We never married for some other reasons but that, I guess, is how it goes.

My aunt came to my house one day and told that she has registered her daughter's horoscope with a social service lady kamala for marriage proposal. I do not have mother by then. I lost her when I was 16 years old. My married elder sister told my father that, 'aunt is selfish and registered her daughter's horoscope. Why cannot she take my sister's horoscope also along with her and registered it? Appa, you go and register. It will be a face cut for aunt.' Then my father registered my horoscope with Kamala aunty. My hubby's horoscope was registered with some other social service lady Neela aunty. It so happened these two ladies were friends. One day they both were walking in T nagar roads in Chennai and decided to see matching between the horoscopes registered with both of them. So for everyone marriage is made in heaven. But for me marriage was made in T. nagar roads. Our horoscopes have tallied with regard to age, height, caste etc. and my horoscope was handed over to my would be father-in-law. He came to my house to see me. Next day my would be mother-in-law came and unexpectedly my husband came from Bangalore to Chennai. Then he came to see me. Three days continuous girl seeing went on. I do not remember the date. But my engagement was on 14th September 1975. Since we wanted one particular choultry, we had to wait for five months and my marriage was on 11th Feb., 1976. In regional movies at this stage, they show a slide SHUBHAM means Good, so here I am showing that slide SHUBHAM means everything ended well.

My husband and I originally met through the internet on January 10, 2002. We spoke for over an hour on the phone on the 12th of January. And that continued on for a little over a week. We decided that we would meet in person on the 19th of January. I knew immediately that we would eventually be married. He proposed to me on June 6, 2002 and we were finally married on July 31, 2004. By the time that we got married, our daughter was 19 months old.

I met my husband online. He and I dated long distance for 9 months before we met in person. I lived in California and he lived in Idaho. I had met him in Idaho because his mother was elderly and could not stay at home by herself. He paid for my airline ticket and allowed me to stay with him and his mom. After talking in the phone to each other for a week he wanted to talk to my parents and introduce himself. My parents asked several questions and he answered them all. Once my husband and I met for the first time I knew that I wanted to marry him. I think his mom knew as well because when he had told her that we were getting married she had told him "well, it's about time you asked her." She is a sweet girl and a great addition to the family. She is the daughter I always wanted.
