The Phillies Didn't Lost, They Postponed Their Win Until 2010!!

That's right, the World Series isn't over, the Yankees didn't win and the Phillies didn't lose! The race for the world championship in Major League Baseball is not over, just postponed until 2010! Take that New York Yankee fans...lol!! This is what Sarah Palin wrote on her Facebook page early Wednesday morning:"The race for New York's 23rd District is not over, just postponed until 2010," Palin wrote. "The issues of this election have always centered on the economy – on the need for fiscal restraint, smaller government, and policies that encourage jobs. In 2010, these issues will be even more crucial to the electorate."Read it here: http://www.mylot.com/o/newdiscussion.aspx?q=13_77250 Yes, Sarah, there will be another election in 2010, including in the 23rd District in New York. Maybe a Republican or someone from a third party or an Independent will win, who knows, that's why we have elections, right? For the sake of the people of that district and even for the sake of the average northeastern Republican let's hope it's someone who actually knows something about the issues are important to the people of that district and not just someone with such far right views that people from everywhere BUT there come in to turn it into a three-ring circus. Meanwhile, however, there WAS a winner and a loser last night. Your guy lost. All he really had going for him besides lots and lots of cash were you, Glenn Beck, Fred Thompson, D1ck Armey and...excuse me while I go barf...Rick Santorum. Annie

X, you double-posted, too! Seriously, I don't care, maybe it even helps me, I'm not sure. When I wrote about "all he really had going for him" I meant the attention the race got because of the far-right "stars'" involvement is what possibly helped him get the votes he got. Annie

"because of the far-right "stars'" involvement is what possibly helped him get the votes he got." so is that an acknowlegment from you that Palin may have helped him?

I think you're probably right about Phillies fans, Jodi, and I also think they're kind of proud of that "honor"...lol! I'm really not a "huge" fan, I hardly pay any attention to baseball other than the World Series and usually that depends on whether I'm in any pools or not. Annie

sure is! Even had a guy walk out on his tab at work because of it!!! (read:Ignorant jerk) Philly fans (EXCEPT FOR ANNIE!) are the ugliest, meanest, nastiest, most vindictive fans to be found....course I've only ever witnessed them at their worst, so I could be wrong, but I doubt it

Yes, there were losers. Anyone stupid enough to think that Scozzafava is a "moderate". She proved her devotion to the DNC by running to back the Democrat as soon as she decided to quit splitting the democrat vote and drop out. I wonder how much of the money the RNC added to her warchest ended up being donated to the DNC and/or Bill Owens... I hope most of it.

I have no idea how it happened but I posted the wrong link! Here's the right one with Palin's exact words: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=166603523434 Annie

Ted, isn't it "cheating" to make two separate responses to the same discussion...lol? Believe it or not, it isn't "stupid" to consider someone like Scozzafava "moderate" in the northeast. Annie

Did she say the race between these specific candidates aren't over, or the race for the 23rd District? The specific candidates races are over, and yes there was a winner and losers, but does that mean the race for the district stops? Let's use Obama as an example, he won the White House, but has he ended the race? Not even! Yes, it's rhetoric, but there is also truth to it.

The 2008 election is over as is the 2009 election. Unfortunately, regardless of who it is or what party they're in, once an election is over the campaign for REelection seems to start immediately. I don't like it but that's the way it goes. In other words, when someone WINS the "race" isn't really over. When they LOSE then that particular race IS over. I think...lol. Hearing or reading what Sarah says often gets me quite confused...lol! Annie

The guy in New York lost. Sarah's wrong but you are DEFINITELY right about the Phillies. They have only postponed their win. I'm just sorry that Utley didn't get to break that Reggie Jackson record in New York this time after he had that rotten bad call in New York. No matter, he'll do it in 2010. Also, I'd like to add here that the only township in Philadelphia's western suburbs that still had a Republican majority on the local level is now Democrat. As of Tuesday, Radnor Township has joined Lower Merion township & Havorford township and now has more Democratic Comissioners than Republican commissioners. (Wish my dad were alive to see this. There was never one Democratic commisssioner in any of these townships in his lifetime inspite of his efforts.)
