Well my life is about to change!

As some of you have been following my story know I am trying to get my trailer tested for something that is possibly triggering or causing my daughter's seizures. Well I will include the links just in case you missed something THESE ARE PART OF THE DISCUSSION NOT REFERRAL LINKS http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2155014.aspx http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2156547.aspx http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2161557.aspx OK now after nearly 3 weeks of no word from the Health Department I tracked down a number for the Environmental Department of the Health Department and guess what I found out? The guy that was "supposed" to be searching for a formaldehyde tester RETIRED LAST SATURDAY! Yea that's right. By now I am a wreak and so I could scream. But the nice man that took down my information said he would send this along to the person taking over his cases,so great now another 3 weeks of waiting? NO I got a call back in about 2 hours, and get this THERE IS NO WAY FOR THEM TO GET A FORMALDEHYDE TESTER AT ALL! OMG are you serious? Well fine I think I am still hoping this loan I went for will go threw and I can move. Today I got a call and I GOT THE LOAN! YAY! I can move. Now all I have to do is come up with $1,300 for closing and insurance yadda yadda yadda,so I have posted a story on the wish a hero site and put some donations buttons up to try to speed up this process. Well then the State of Michigan Health Department called me,and boy they are dying to help me now! So now they think it could be mold since my daughter's seizures only happen in the front part of my trailer and if it was formaldehyde it would be everywhere. So now they are coming out to test for Mercury,Carbon monoxide and maybe mold. they say they can't test for mold but she said she would do whatever she could to get someone out to tests for mold if need be. So I am excited but scared and now i have til the 30th to come up with this money to move. Which the lady from the State said sounded like a good idea. So sorry to all my friends for not being around and what are your thoughts on all this?

OMG! that is incredible!!! I think you should consider talking to a lawyer. Why are you having to go through so much to take care of you and your little girl? Why are you having to live in such conditions, poisoned!

I am still on the fence about calling a lawyer,I mean I have lived here for 3 years and really until I have proof what can it do?

Well as you can see time goes by quickly and so does your and your child's health. You may need to reserve your money to pay for your family care, and maybe the lawyer, see someone counts on you not having the money to follow a law suite. You should contact one anyway and may even find there are more resources to help you. A lawyer may have the investigative resources to find you the proof needed. You don't need to prove it the lawyer.

I hope they get on the ball and check it out for you. I hope that things do work out. Are you guys feeling pretty good? We have been having alot of sickness around here. I do still have your number, but didn't want to bother you while you weren't feeling well and while you are waiting for calls.

Wow you're sure getting the run around and sounds like the typical pass the buck thing...like why didn't the guy who first initially took all your info pass it on to someone else to handle when he knew he was retiring. What kind of home are you hoping to move into...uh, hope NOT another trailer--and here's hoping you get that extra money

I think it's a move in the right direction. So what happens if they do find mold (or whatever). Can they do anything for you? Or are you just going to move no matter what they find?

At this point I plan on moving no matter what, but if there is anything that can be done I would love to hear about it. But with the way this park has treated me since I alerted them to my concerns which I did before I ever got approved for the loan it seems to me they don't want me here anyway.

That's what I was thinking. I feel like he kinda passed the buck on me and never had any intentions of doing anything, but I could be wrong. I am angry and frustrated with this whole thing, but I too am glad something is finally being done.

I hope that you finally find out what is making her sick and I also hope that all goes well with you so that you can get out of the trailer and I am sure that it will and you can breathe easier.

I hope the same kylanie only time will tell I guess. Even if she has seizures for the rest of her life I can accept that as long as they aren't every 2-3 days like they are in the winter and summer times.

Hon, If I had a spare dime I would gladly help you out. I hope and pray that the money comes to you and you and your baby are safe again in your new place. These are really tough times but somehow the money will come. My body hurts too much to continue so I will catch you later. Love Ya Leenie
