Hi damn54, Welcome to myLot. Interesting question. Do you mean by technology annihilating the human race as that technology will develop its own "intelligence" self-reliant without human input, what I believe is termed "artificial intelligence" and in that capacity decide that the human race has become obsolete and now needs to be destroyed? or do you mean that with the technology we now have, that the human race will be destroyed because some human will "push the button" and start a global war that will wipe out the human race? I don't believe that technology can be reversed in the sense that it can be undeveloped. I do believe both scenarios are a possibility, the latter one being more realistic and less like "sci-fi" and more likely to happen.

i mean't more of global war wiping out human race by a push of a button because right now i think this is more closer than the artificial intelligence thing. what do you say?

I agree that the likelihood of someone pushing a button and poof goes the world is more likely to happen than technology having artificial intelligence. I do not believe that total annihilation will happen in the near future, but when I watch the news and see the condition of the world, sometimes it seems closer to reality than not. I don't believe that technology is the cause of this but merely a means to a possible end. The human race as it is, has a lot to of ways of destroying itself, but it also has room for hope and I certainly hope that it will not come to that. What do you envision happening?
