gaining weight is a reverse of losing weight, but if understood you correctly, a skinny person wants to gain weight but just enough for healthy apperance, right? well eat 6x aday with time spacing of 2 1/2 or 3 hours and the diet should consist of small portion of 40%protien, 50%carbs.(complex/simple) and 10%fat like extra virgin olive oil, flax seed oil, fish oil(omega3)...enough sleep also helps in gaining weigth and exercise for shaping the body, so you'll arrive to perfect physique you like..

I was once really skinny. And I think my metabolism was really fast so that no matter how much I ate, I would never get fat. So what I did was to go work out. I did this for about 3 or 4 months. Just enough to define some of my muscles. Not big, just defined. I also had to eat a lot of protein while doing this to feed the muscles. Then I suddenly I stopped working out. But the appetite I got never changed. So I still ate a lot. Then I started gaining weight. Mind you this was when I was in my early 20's.

Hi mrnischalgurung I was told this by a doctor once. I then told my younger son and he has been doing this and has gained some healthy weight. I will share that with you. Eat bananas and peanutbutter. The doctor said that bananas are good and healthy and will put weight on you. Eat at least two to three a day. The peanutbutter is high in protein and will help with the weight gain as well. Eat a sandwich or two a day and then eat a tablespoon at night before bedtime. It will help you. Let me know how that goes for you. Have a great evening and keep smiling..

Well, for some extra weight to keep yourself looking healthy you should drink lots of milk because it is not only good for your bones but also gives you some more nutrition that makes you bigger. Other than that, I cannot think of anything else that the people above me didn't mention. Of course, you will also need to exercise to keep your body circulation good so the nutrition will be able to get to your body. It is not just for losing weight, but it can help you gain weight. . .

I have some suggestions. Firstly, you should have enough sleep; sencondly, you should have a good mood every day; thirdly, you should eat to full for every dinner; finilly, you shouldn't eat the same kind of food. For example, you couldn't always eat westen food, you'd better eat some eaten food as well. Thank you.

Hi there! Well, I don't think that you can be fat but I saw thin people become buff. Maybe you can hit the gym and seek for a professional trainer's help.

To do that, I believe you'd best consult a nutritionist and perhaps try going to the gym. If you want to gain "healthy" weight and sustain it, I think it's best you consult with your doctor or get referred to a nutritionist. Otherwise, you may lose the weight again or just get "fat".
