I guess that is just tradition. But, I guess it would be just fine if a woman proposed marriage to the man.

Yes men have to do that It is a law in my city that they must do that or face a fine

I think traditionally women expect men to ask. but some men are so afraid that the woman will no..so the women has to ask. Really I don't think it matters...perhaps they should ask each other to make sure they both really want it?

There are certain situations which are best left to the jurisdiction of Gentlemen. And the most interesting of them is proposing to a girl which I guess freaks most men out. I woul have loved my men to propose to me.

As a female, I would like my man to propose me, but I dont think it really dont matter as long as couples are comfortable with each other. It kinda sound cool for female to ask man to marry her.

I believe in gender equality, but I bet most females would love their guys to propose to them. After all, it's the gentleman thing to do.
