I was really worried when my baby fell from the bed.

I was really worried when my five months old baby fell from the our bed. I was so scared and cried as I lifted her up from the floor. I panicked as I saw the red mark on her forehead. My husband immediately called at the hospital, told what had happened and asked for some advices or medical tips that we should do. My baby just cried for a while and after that, she started laughing and acting as if nothing had happened. But still, I was so worried and still blaming myself for being careless. It was like breaking my heart. Is there anyone who had the same experience with mine?

When my daughter first started walking she fell and hit her head. Instantly a big blue knot formed on her forehead. I freaked. I rushed her to the hospital. It turned out to be superficial, but it still scared me badly.

I know how scary it is when it happens to our loved ones. You're a great mother for doing an immediate action. It is really important to make sure that everything is fine especially to kids who can't actually tell if they're truly hurt or not. Thank you for sharing your experience with regards to this topic.

I know that its really scary encountering something like that. I have a 6 year old son and he was about 7 months, he also feel from bed. But it was not very much of a concern since he fall on a soft area. There was a pillow which cushioned his fall. By the way, one sign that you have to monitor when you suspect any head injury is vomiting. From what you have said, I presume there is none. Though you have to do something about the red mark if there is swelling. You can apply some cold application. Best to you and your baby.

i fell asleep with my son on the couch one night when he was only a few weeks old,you know how it is,after the night feed you're exhausted and you only mean to rest your eyes for a few minutes,i fell asleep, the next thing i know he's on the floor screaming with a lump on his forehead,oh my god i felt so bad,,also with the same son when he was 3 months old,i laid him on the floor in the bathroom while i had a bath, not realising that he could roll over coz he'd never done it before,i heard a scream and he'd rolled onto the radiator pipe, the few seconds it took me to get out the bath and pick him up,has scarred his arm for life, the burn is about an inch square,my son is now 8 and thankfully can't remember any of it,,he'd probably disown me for bad parenting if he could remember

Thank you for sharing your experience about this. Your son is eight years old now and I now you had been a great parent for him. I guess, there are things that are meant to happen even we tried so hard to avoid them. I know that your son is so proud of you and happy to have you.

Hello jaz I have had this same experience with my neice she was about 4 months old and I put her on my moms and dads bed to take a nap while a picked up the house and the next thing I know she is crying and a was so scarred. You are not a bad mother becouse your baby fell off the bed you are a really good mother seemings you called the hospital and stuff. The reason why your baby only cried for a minute is becouse they forget about things very easily. It is so hard whene it is your first child it will get easer. Even whene you have another one and they fall and get a red mark you will cry but you will also now they will be alright. All children will fall and get bumbs and bruses it is just the way things happen. Even if we the parents try to stop all the falling down. Happy parenting your little one. Just remember accidents happen and it is not your fault. Happy Mylotting

Hi! Yes, she is my first child and it is hard for me to see her in that kind of situation. My heart really melts when it comes to my child. Yeah, we cannot control everything. Something happens for a reason. Thank you for sharing your experience with your parenting.
