I have read a lot of discussions here saying they have posted a lot of new discussions when they first joined mylot. Then i came to ask myself, am i a healthy my lot member when i get to post nothing in a day? I mean i get to respond to discussions of my interest at least ever day but i can't think of any topic to post that im sure you guys will respond to or better yet the topic might already be posted and i just wasn't able to check on it. I have been a member for almost a week now and i only get to respond to 80 discussions and did 1 task with friends not more than 10 :( So what do you think? Am i a healthy my lot member? If you think im not, can you help me out on ways on how to be a healthy member?

Welcome to myLot! I checked out your profile so that I could make a more correct 'diagnosis' I can see that you are enjoying your time here by your responses on the discussions so far. It shows through in what you are writing and you are making lovely lengthy posts too so you should be seeing some cents add up If you are happy with what you are doing then that is what matters because it must be fun here. There is no need to start new discussions as there are thousands of them already waiting for us to respond on them. (just check the number in your browser and that will give you an idea of how many have been posted since myLot launched). I don't even average one a week but I am on here every day. Add a few friends here and there when you see someone interesting and then when you do start a discussion they will probably respond on it. Good luck and you have passed from what I can see!

So far im enjoying my stay here. It's a good thing to know that im not alone in this lovely site. I have been thinking if we post new discussions it can add up to our points or ranking maybe, but i guess not so now I'm a bit confident already to just do my thing. Thanks doc mysdianait ;)

Some people like to put discussions and some people like to respond to others' discussions. It is not necessary that you have to put discussions. Secondly, in the beginning stages we will have lot of confusions. But responding to others' discussions is easy. Slowly you will become familiar with mylot activities and you yourself will start posting discussions. So post responses without any confusion. Best of Luck.

I only post to responses when i feel like i can share something or will be useful enough to the maker of the discussion. Little by little im familiar with the site already, although its kinda similar with the other forum site that i registered with, still there are a lot of rules that needs to be familiarize first. Thanks

Hi gaiza12 Wlcome to myLot, Many members do not post many discussions, myself included. I tend to respond to discussions more than I post them. It is entirely up to you how active you are on Mylot. What I would say is read the guidelines and have fun on here using Mylot as for being a healthy mylotter, you are doing fine

hi gaiza, there is no need to ever make a discussion at all if you don't want to and just responding is fine. What I consider the unhealthy memebers are those who post discussions and never respond to their responders in the mistaken belief that just by posting a discussion they will make money. A discussion only works with two way interaction. I do tend to start quite a few new discussions because as soon as an idea hits me I post it straight away and I find it fun to do that and quicker than finding things to respond to.

You're right about that, mylot discussion works in two way interaction. A discussion wouldn't be of any use if the one who made the discussion wouldn't be interacting to his/her responder. How will the responder know that the maker has learned something from his discussion or not, or if he/she is finding his discussion useful to others or not, or just simply by appreciating his responders. Thanks thea09 :)

Hello Gaiza, I think there is nothing wrong with that. If you happen to like responding than creating a discussion it is fine. After all, we are here to make good discussion right? If you were able to contribute valuable post to your fellow mylotter then for me it makes you a healthy mylotter. I also started responding to discussions and I only post/create topic whenever I feel like doing it. Because I want to make an interesting topic and not just for the sake of getting responses and all. I think you are on your way for posting good topic right what you are doing now. Happy mylotting!

I agree with the other responders. You do what you feel comfortable doing here. This is a place to share opinions, make friends, and earn a little bit of money. Just be you! :) I don't start that many discussions here either. I respond to more than I start. When I do start a discussion, it is because it is about something I want to share with someone, want others opinions on, or need advice about something. Mylot is a fun and simple place to start and respond to discussions and to share with each other. Just have fun! :) Welcome to Mylot! :)

I'm having fun responding to the discussions actually, that is why i never try to think of posting new discussions on my first few days here. The reason why i asked this because of some responses that i have read which made me worried a little, but i guess now , thanks to you guys, i'm a bit confident to just do my thing. Thanks cwilson26 ;)

if your posts have never been deleted or your ID has never been banned, that means you are alive, do something interested you and you can earn some talking fee in passing, that's enough, but if you want to take this as a full time job or one of your full time job to earning your living, i think you are far from a healthy member, the more cash you earned from here, the more interaction you blowed up here, then the more healthy you are. anyway, i consider anyone who just depends on internet to make his or her living is very great in my viewpoint

Hellow gaiza12, you want to be a healthy myLot member? What you are doing now, posting and discussing already makes you one. Replying to discussions, doing tasks and creating discussions and posts are all major factors of being a healthy myLotter, and as i can see, you've done all of them.

I shouldn't have know im doing good if i hadn't asked for your opinions :D I wouldn't be learning as well if you guys didn't share your points of view. Thanks :)

80 posts for a week that's okey for a new mylot memeber, meaning to say you posts more than 10 a day. You can improve the number of your posts as you go along. It's alright me I seldom start a discussion, I just make responses to others discussions but when I'm in the mood to start a new one, I do. I think it's a good start for you and you're a healthy mylot member.

I did tried responding to as many discussions as i can in a day, that's if i do have something to share. If i can't relate to such a discussion, i only try to read it and see what good things i can learn from it. Thanks bing28 :)

I think you are okay, I don't think everyone post new discussions everday and it is not difficult to start up a discussion, you can write on any topic that comes to your mind, seek opinions or ask questions. If you think really hard, you should be able to come up with something

it may not be difficult to post new discussions but i'm thinking if i post one, will this discussion have a lot of responders? Can somebody learn from it? Will it help me or other mylotters somehow? I hope i can come up with an interesting topic soon :D Thanks :)

Hello gaiza! First of all, welcome to mylot! There's no indicator as to how a 'healthy' mylot member should be. As long as you follow the guidelines, then you're healthy lol. That's just my opinion, anyways. I am one of those people who prefers responding discussions rather than creating them. So it depends on your preference and everybody is different. By the way, the most important thing is you have fun. Enjoy your time being here and that's all that matters! Good luck!

In my opinion, it is unnecessary to pay much attention to the number of discussions here. You see, there are no a apparent definition about the healthy member. In fact, here, you can enjoy a free and relaxed time without any obsession. As a friendly community, myLot provides us a place online to make friends with others from different countries, share our experience with true heart, and give them a hand who need help. When you get tired of your job in the real life, then you can stop to spend some time here and relax your mind. Here, just do what you want and try our best to add some new friends. You can enjoy a better life in such a big family online!

You're right about it. So far i'm enjoying it here in MyLot and right now im checking on the discussions while i relax on my work. I'm actually hoping that through my responses i could help or even just share my opinions to the one who started it or who asked for help and somehow i can meet new friends online. Thanks my friend ;)
