When I was young my uncle made me eat different kinds of exotic food (without my knowledge). I have tried "monitor lizard adobo"(adobong bayawak), "fried frog"(piniritong palakang-bukid), "golden apple-snail"(kohol) to name a few. Have you eaten tried exotic food? What kinds of exotic food have you tried? Share us your experiences in eating unusual and exotic delicacies.

I have tried frog, hahaha... fried frog. Actually I hate to try it but it doesn't taste bad at all. I tried "kohol" (golden apple-snail) too...with coconut milk and I think it taste okay. Haha. I never tried eating anything weird other than those I mentioned. hehe

Fried frog meat is much like chicken, isn't it? In my province every in our town eats "kohol" during it's season. Its good actually, especially if the one preparing is an experienced cook for those kinds of delicacies. I miss eating "kohol", I'll definitely look forward to eating some when I get back to our province. Thanks for sharing danitykane. Happy mylotting.

I don't like exotic foods! Especially meat. I heard that you can now eat crocodiles. I watched it in Mel and Joey last month. I think the most exotic food I ate was the squash flower. But dogs, rat, bugs, snakes, frogs, worms, lamb, goat. NEVER! Even liver. I don't like it. I prefer fruits and vegetables, tuna and chicken.

I felt exactly the same before. My uncle made me eat these things for the 1st time without letting me know that it's something different. There are also exotic fruits and seafood, maybe you'd want to try those. I have an allergy with seafood though so I haven't tried too much.

I envy you, I like crabs but I can't eat them because I'm allergic to them. Every time I taste crabs my body gets filled with these itches and they swell up.

Really? well there really are food which are good to smell but can be awful to taste. Smell can be deceiving at times. Steam buns are generally good, I've never heard of the kind you ate so it must be pretty unusual. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah I tried the fried frogs too and they tastes like fried chicken. I have eaten crocodile meat which tastes like beef and tamilok or mangrove worm which are actually mangrove mollusk. They are a delicacy in Palawan. I also have eaten a couple of street foods like chicken feet, chicken head, pig's intestine and how can I forget the ever famous balut or chicken embryo.
