Need information on Google AdSense

Hi there! I am wanting to use Google AdSense. Can it be used on blogs? I have a blog and want to use Google AdSense on it. I requested Google for it, but since I had very few blog entries, I was asked to request for it at someother time, when the contents are more and complete. I want to know if AdSense can be inserted in blogs. Also, I would like to know (on an average) how much money do we earn through Google AdSense? Is there any way to increase it and get some extra money through it? Also, share other ways of making money online if you know. Thanks!
