I am just curious on what kind of brusies you have suffered and what the affects you suffered from are. Recently my Daughter had sprained her ankle while skate boarding, Her ankle had turned black, light purple then green. That ment to me broken. It was weird how we interperted that bruise for a broken bone. She then had to wear a cast for four weeks, it wasn't broken it was a high ankle sprain. I had bruised my toe and it went purple and black. Thought it was broken but it was a bruised muscle. What are your incidents and colors?

I think the worst injury that caused a lot of bruising was when I went rollerblading without wearing any knee pads. I was going too fast and rammed into a wall because I was trying to avoid running into my sister. But I hit my right kneecap really hard and it turned all red and started swelling up. At first the bruise wasn't all that big but by the next day my entire kneecap and the surrounding area was all black and blue. The bruise was visible for about two weeks and I think I totally messed up my knee because of that incident. I sometimes still feel some pain from it once in a while.

Ouch that sounds painful. Did you go see an orthopedic or family doctor? Since that incident do you go rollerblading anymore? Thanks for your response.

I did see a doctor about it and luckily it was nothing serious. It just looked way worse than it actually was. As for me rollerblading, I still do and I don't find myself stopping anytime soon. But I have started wearing more protective gear so that a repeat doesn't happen. I don't think I ever want to experience that again if I can help it.
