where does antichrist would possibly appear?

He who is against Christ is the Antichrist as told in the bible. Ever since the preaching of the Apostles and the early christians, different antichrists have come and deceived some people during their times. These false prophets and antichrists, John says, do not recognize that Jesus has to come in the flesh. They don't recognize the Father and the Son -- that is the antichrist (I John 2: 22-23, 4:2-3). Today there are many false teachers around deceiving many and someone claims he is the son of God. However, in the end times, there will come a typical Antichrist who will deceive the whole world into believing he is the Messiah. There is one figure today who is claiming he is a Great teacher who will instruct humanity for peace. He claims to be the Christ for Christians, the imam mahdi, for Moslems and the fifth Buddha, for Buddhists, his name? As for the meantime, let us not be so engrossed with the idea about who he is instead, let us make our light shine into this dark world so that the world will know who really is the Savior -- none other than Jesus, the only Christ.

I would point you to the verses Rev 13:13. Verses 1-10 refer to a large, or, world beast, and verses 11-18 refer to a man or an office of man, beast. And verse 13 says the office "brought fire down to earth in the sight of men" - this fire convinced the people of earth to rebuild the world beast/body, for it had expired when one of its heads expired, or, well, didn't 'join' after all.. Beast can't work w/o its head..

The antichrist is not really a "one" person. Don't get that impression. The antichrist can't deceive many if "he" is one of the billion people in the world. It is a religious organization that has been in existence in the world for a long time now. It has already deceived millions in obeying its false doctrines, tenets and dogmas. Open your mind. Please read the Bible and take the obvious hints that is written in it. If you read it, you can really distinguish the antichrist. I'll give you a clue. It is the most revered religion in the world. Even governments and kingdoms bow down their heads if it says so.

It is my impression that THE anti christ will be a man. But the responders above are also right, as atan has been preparing the way for this man to be accepted as GOD for many centuries with evil men in power. The Bible says that many anti christs will decieve many. The word anti christ is not mentioned in the book of Revelation, which is a discription of the time of Jacob's (the Jews) trouble. BUT the beast is mentioned as a ruler who attempts to make the whole world worship him as God. So, I believe it is fair to say he is an anti christ...the last in a long line of them. My advice is to focus on THE CHRIST, Jesus. And let God take care of this evil man. If you are prepared to meet the Lord when He comes, you will not need to know who this man is.
