what do you do after work?

When you leave work at nights, what do you do? Do you go straight home? stop by the grocery store? Sometimes I go for groceries but most time I go straight home. I'd like to find somewhere quiet I stop before to go home and not spend money there, like a park but now it's dark so early, I want to relax a bit before to go home and really get flooded with the things to do.

Most days I am rushing from work to get the kids from the babysitter's. Then I drive them to and from their afterschool activities. Sometimes, when I am lucky I get to nap in the car while I wait for them at guitar lessons, or tae kwon do, etc. Then, I have to prepare dinner while I manage them doing their homeworks. Yeah I know, my life sucks!

Sounds very much like my life, just I don't have kids, but it's more work for me too!

Thanks for the BR! Although it sounds really pathetic for us to have more work after work.

hi bounce58, If only we got 48 hours per day,i guess it'll be a relief. While working,i think of going home to do this & that (cleaning,tidying,etc...)but back home ,i'm just too tired to do anything. I do my best to relax by listening to music. Even my favorite songs sounds like crap when i'm too tired. I wonder who's the person who phrased "HOME SWEET HOME".

Right after work, if the traffic is not so heavy, I always go home straight. Though, i'd like to relax but there are things I need to do and that includes cooking dinner. My partner is the one doing the dishes so I can have time for my daughter. We read her favorite books or just watch my favorite show on tv. sometimes, I'm just doing storytelling to her until she doze off.

Well, that's the only way I can make it up to my daughter for all the lost times I've been spending away from her. Besides, it is my pleasure spending time with her.:-)

I usually go straight home to take care of my son and let the dogs out. I like getting there and relaxing/unwinding. If I know my son isn't there and he let the dogs out before he left, I'll think about stopping somewhere and sometimes I just can't think of anywhere I need to go or anything in particular do so I'll stop at the mall or a dept store just to look around. On occasion, I'll stop at borders or starbucks to sit & have coffee & read, just time to myself that I can enjoy & have peace and quiet. I like walking in a park here that has a really nice walking trail when it's nice out and yes, light....hate that it gets dark so early now.

I don't usually go home right away. In the morning when I go to work, I already bring my things for badminton games. That is what I usually do after work. I pass by the sports center and spend at most 2 hours playing. I have to play double time these days because of my long absence from the badminton courts and because of the forthcoming tournament. In the past months, I played badminton and did brisk walking around the oval of the sports center alternately each day. I feel good after the games even with the muscle pains.

What I really want to do is spend sometimes on my computer games, have a nice chat with my girlfriend, maybe go and have dinner together or watch a movie. But after that I'd just want to relax but also have time to do exercising. Anyway, I'm still young so making money is my first priority.

I usually stop working at 5 pm and it takes me about 40minutes to get home so i just go straight home after work. When i get home i will have a short rest before preparing for supper. After it, i would like to surf the Internet or watch TV.
