Normal poetry is often constructed on the sounds of the words (like singing), deaf poetry is based on the movement of the sign language. It can be so much alike to dancing but has a deeper meaning. I have attended and seen one play when I was in college and have to make a term paper about it. Its about the hardships a deaf person had to endure and go though. Its a nice play to watch and would deeply have impact in your inner heart.
Have you watch or see such similar play or any play that uses the body movement to relay an important message about life?

I can understand that music can cause you to feel things, even if you don't understand the words, however I'm having a hard time imagining that sign language can actually do the same? Sounds very odd :)
