How often do you include SEO? All the time, or just a few articles each time. Do you find it too taxing to include SEO each time, and do you prefer to just write articles free and easy, without considering SEO? Thanks for your time answering this discussion of mine.

It has become a habit to write with seo techniques. By the way, writing using keywords is just one part of seo, the internal seo. The other part is making comments, and getting backlinks, that is the external seo. Writing with seo is not that hard, just make sure keyword density is 3% to 7%. If I'm using long-tailed keywords, I can't even meet the 3%. Those one-word keyword is the easiest to use, definitely can meet the 3% usage. So I can basically write free and easy, and worry about seo later. Usually insertion of a few words here and there is enough. For the external seo, I'm trying to figure out the "do follow" and "no follow". Hubpages is easy, just see the score on each hub. Blog is a bit difficult, I got to search for the free tool to see whether the comment is a do-follow or nofollow.

Very wonderfully said as usual, Scheng. I always like your comments; very useful and there are always tips in which I could heed and use. I'm focusing on the external SEO for now; I think I could include that too, for now. Writing with SEO techniques work very well when we are in front of the PC. But if we are not, and outside, and with just pen and paper, we just have to draft out articles first. And then get back to the office or home, use the PC to do the SEO thingy. Will definitely be time consuming. And that's the fed-up part. But no successful SEO writing comes without hard work, and that I realize. So, it depends on my mood now, I suppose.

aiyo, not a problem la. I love to drink coffee, and I manage to type out a long post about coffee. And then I write a lot of book reviews, since I'm a bookworm, the name of the author becomes the keyword lor. If you are planning a trip to Genting, then keep on using Genting lor. Seo is not that stressful. I think you worry too much about seo liao. Maybe you can think about the time when you suffered from toothache from the rotting wisdom tooth. Just keep on describing the toothache, and scold the wisdom tooth la. That is very natural seo liao.

Wakakkakakakakkkkkkkkkkkkkk Aiyo all the slang come out wan......... You spoke of keyword density I also got scared. LOL..........but too much repetition can get kick out from search engines. That would be . Not scared just wondering how those SEO gurus do things accordingly. Per article some say 10 repeats and many versions. Confused!

AH okay.. No wonder that SEO thing seems familiar to me, but yet i cant remember what is it. haha =D NOw that i know, i think it's important to be working towards that especially when one is earning via blogs.. That's one way to keep their blog up and try to have those unique yet general kinda tags to it, so that everybody can read it, when they do a similiar search on things they want.. hehe

I am not an internet savvy guy but i believe that if you are focusing in making money out of your blog or website then it is a must that we must be doing most of the SEO requirements to boost up our traffic. it is like spicing up your shop for customers to get in to our shop. But if you are this guy who just wants to concentrate on your writing skills and just want to share what you know to the rest of the world , i suggest that you hire someone to do it for you, so it woun't be that taxing on your part and crank up your creative juice.hire someone.

That is such a very good response. You got it all well said; that's true. If we don't want to end up being burnt out with all the SEO details, then it's best to hire someone so we can concentrate on writing. Perhaps I should look into this further and decide which should I concentrate more. Thanks for your wonderful insight there.

Well, it will be better if always consider SEO when writing article, this is to increase the chance to listed at the good position of the search engine. That's nothing wrong if you want to write an article free and easy without considering SEO, just this might not give good benefit on SERP. If your blog is mature enough, i mean many follower, then you can just do what you want without consider SEO anymore

I like your answer. It makes sense.. if the blogger or article writer already have a lot of followers, then he/she does not need to do up SEO that much. But I've seen some articles or sites whereby the user inculcate both of these methods. Having lots of followers and at the same time, practicing good SEO as well.

True, because those blogger need to get more and more traffic or saying potential follower from search engine, and therefore they are always consider the SEO while writing the article

The first thing I do before even writing an article is to consider the SEO side of it, researching the keywords, competitors and trends so that when I do write the article I can give it the best chance of competing in search engines. But for me SEO doesn't stop there and is part of my daily routine as I go through old content on my site which is underperforming and going through the SEO on it again, sometimes rewritting it so that it will start performing again. I remember when I first started and found doing SEO a pain in the butt because it can take time. But it is worth it and once you get into a routine it becomes much easier.

That is true. I do find SEO a pain too in the beginning but after some time, it can be enjoyable because of the discovery of which words and phrases are searched by people and stuff like that. You do have a disciplinary routine there for SEO and that's awesome..

You sure are getting busy with article writing, huh. Awesome, Cb... you have gone a long way totally! And this is coming from someone whom doesn't want to write that much before.....LOL.........fabulous! It's great, right. I love writing too, and it's just a very wonderful feeling totally. I went over to read that article and it was so funny. I have been avoiding my SEO for a bit now too, just continuing to write. I find the ideas gushing by when I'm not so concerned about SEO too. Good answer.

Once you know what are the best keywords, longtail keywords seem to work best these days, you keep your keywords in mind as you write. I think you should optimize each article you write and have it pointing to something or some place that will earn you money. If you are just writing off the top of your head you are most likely wasting precious time you could be spending focusing on earning and that means SEO. Every thing you write should be focused on making you money, period.

All the time. If you want to make money online you should include keywords for your niche in each post you make and also write unique articles that will point back to your blog pages using similar keywords, but not the exact same. Get them published on the top article directories, those with PR4 or higher. I have a few blogs where I just write and don't worry about keywords. They don't do nearly as well as those I focus a keyword strategy on. I do have one site that makes me about $100 a month and I just use private label rights article and pay no attention to anything with this site. But that's just one fluke out of 30 blogs. The others I need to use keywords.

This is valuable information, thanks. By the way, how many keywords should one include normally per article and how many times in total should they be repeated. I read some information on this on the net, and there are lots of definitions. Some say 5 keywords repeated 10 times, some say 3 keywords and repeated 5 times. So I'm confused..

I do some article writing but I do not know much about SEO. Often, I just write about topics that I have knowledge and interest and hope for the best. I surely would want to learn considering that I have heard that it will surely help in gaining more traffic.
