I wonder how pople forget the greats of the past. I dont thinkanybody can ever reach the popularity world over that one Skinny man clad in as fewer clothes as possible got. His name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi or more popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi. I dont think anyone ever could reach the stature he reached. And in todays times I think sports is the only big cheer in most indians life. And the factor that unites the nation. And when you talk of sports nothing can be cmpared to the cricket frenzy in this nation of billions. And the so called God of Cricket is no other than Sachin. I guess today Sachin tendulkar is the most famous guy in this country.

Hey friends in India there are so many famous and popular legendary person in every field and you can not count in finger. In politics I can recall the performance of our Ex Hon'ble speaker Mr Somnath Chatterjee , in sports obviously S.R.
