Son in Hysterics

My son's school sent consent papers for me to authorize them to let my child get the H1N1 vaccine. I have heard so many horror stories that I declined. I haven't even got one, I don't even get the flu shot. I seen many who end up more sick, still die after getting the shot, paralyzed, and I feel they rushed out this vaccine and not even tested it to see if it would really work. They even say, that it depends on how the body, if they come down with the H1N1 virus. I guess there is a certain virus in one's body that will "contact" the virus and they become sick with the H1N1. All of this was told to me by a Nurse and she had her son get the nasal spray and she was besides herself!! Her son had such a severe headache he was screaming, crying hysterically because his head hurt so bad, for her to be a Nurse and couldn't do anything about it. I would be beside myself.

I think you were wise to refuse the vaccine for your son. There were children in Britain that had severe side effects but it wasn't much publicized. I really don't think the swine flu vaccine is safe and I think you did the right thing.

Yes, I feel it isn't safe and they didn't do all the research they should have. I feel they just rushed it out and myself feel it is worse than the flu with all the side effects, what could happen and do they even know if it will work? hmmhmm....?????

Many of us feel we "have" to do it, they put the fear of dying if we dont, though the vaccine could not possibly stop us from getting the H1N1, swine flu. I haven't got it, nor my son. I fear more of the side effects than the virus itself.

well H1N1 is alive and well here in Canada and there have been huge lines in order to get it. i am in a high risk group and could line up and get it but i really dont want to wait in line, plus, i have had one type of flu already which is considered H1N1 (all flu this year is from this strain) so i am not even sure if i will get it.

Here also in the US, I feel they make it out to be a "requirement" but I still don't feel it myself that it is safe and they rushed the vaccine out instead of "testing" it first to see if many people can be safe with taking it.
