Quitting smoking, how many time have you tried before being successful?

Have already tried three times and still counting. The best thing I have did so far is to cut-it down from 10 sticks a day to 5. Now my wife says "See, quitting is easy, and you have done it three times already". Damn, she's telling me to give it another try. How many times try quiting smoking before being successful?

I have "quit" so many times I can not even count but that only lasted about an hour with me. I did Chantex though and I quit quit for a year and I was not even ready to quit. I just took the pill, smoked, and one day I turned to my friend and said "I have not smoked today." I smoke currently but I did not take the pill for the recommended time, only about a month, so I think that has something to do with the fact that I started smoking again. I am about ready to quit quit again though.

After three years, I still am a smoker. And I think I can never win this battle. And still the good thing about it is that I my smoking is still minimal to 5 sticks a day or lower. Had anyone had a success story to be told here in myLot?

it takes as many times as it does before people stop pressuring you about not smoking.
