How is the fingerprint feature in laptop useful for security purpose?

Hi friendz, Laptop are now into market with finger print recognization.How much it is useful as far as security purpose.? Is that really secured for information stored in that Harddisk?

Sure it's secure, noone will have access to your computer unless they have your finger as well. The problem is, that once you make a small scratch on the reader (you'll do so sooner or later), then you wont have access any more either. I personally don't like the feature.
