If you were to move to Hawaii, what island would you live on?

Of all the eight islands in the State of Hawaii, I prefer the Big Island (aka Hawaii). I've been to O'ahu, Maui, Kauai, Lana'i, Moloka'i and Ni'ihau. Each of these islands has its own beauty, but the Big Island is a little less crowded for me. What island do you prefer? Is it closer to the city, country, ocean or mountains?

I visited Hawaii and stayed on the island that has Honolulu Airport. I saw the palm fringed beaches of the North Shore, Pearl Harbor and Waikiki Beach. I haven't been to any of the other of the Hawaiian Islands. If I moved to Hawaii I would choose to live next to a palm fringed beach where the water was calm enough for swimming. I would like to live on a peaceful island with fewer crowds.

Oahu has a lot of beaches lining the coastline. There's not many of them that aren't overcrowded. I think if you get the chance, the island of Kauai has beautiful, not-so-crowded beaches. Its lined with coconut tree's and most are secluded. Thanks for your answering my post. I hope you can visit the other islands some day.

I stayed a week on Maui a few years ago. My brother and father lived there at the time. Really liked the quiet island life and it was not at all crowded then, maybe it has changed? Loved the Maui Ocean Center and a day trip to Lahaina. If I moved I think Maui would be my choice. Love the beach and nearly everything is close to it.

Maui has changed a little. But it still remains the same. The island is beautiful and it would definitely be my second choice. Thanks for responding to my post!
