I am planning to set up my own website but I do not know which hosting site is best. I have no background in website design or programming and I am not familiar with cPanel, Mysql and all those kind of stuff. Is there a hosting site that is easy to use even for beginners? I'd appreciate any of your inputs. thanks.

Host gator! I'm getting ready to start going pro on blogging! I've been doing free blogging for a year and many have told me I should do it right! LOL! wordpress is the one of choice. The reason I'm telling you this is because there are a few very good videos on setting up accounts and how to do it and how to use cpanel. Although it's geared for blogging there is a lot of valuable info for you there and it is free! Here's the link:http://thewordpressclassroom.com/members/ (note this link is not for profit) But I've been watching them for a few days and it's filled with great info! Enjoy! tdemex

I am also eyeing hostgator but they don't offer free domains like other web hosting sites. That means I would have to shell out another budget for a domain. Hmmm...I'm still thinking hard about it. thanks, tdemex.

I am new to this area as well but I have tried GoDaddy and it was alright, but I have nothing to compare it to.

It depends on your budget and what are the features that are required for your site. example php or something you need. research on that. As for me I think blue host offers the best features at affordable price.

there's GO DADDY which is one of the popular. one suggestion since you don't have any background in terms of html, website designing and stuff, try to search for domain hosting that has web designing feature, you can build you site using drag and drop much like your creating a blog. you can try wix.com. they offer hosting and website builder.i got one from there and its free but there are limitations. try searching you might find some good ones that best fits you.
