Let's be friends!!!

I must say that I listen to my daughters talking about how many friends they have on myspace. I asked my daughter why it was so important. My oldest said just because. My baby said that it makes her feel good knowing that people actually choose to be her friend. I was so touched! I began trying to make as many friends on the computer as possible. Literally every person that I have had a chance to have a conversation with I was glad to know them. In my day to day life I dont have many friends. Everytime I try it seems to end badly. I either get used or dissed. I am not about that. I like honesty, and loyalty. I dont seem to get that. I am not going to settle for one or the other. I love every one of my friends online. You're honest, straightforward, and understanding. Everything I ever wanted in a friend. So I am suggesting that we have a pass one on. By this I mean we each make a new friend. If we are not already friends, then let's be friends. If we are already friends, take one of mine or give me one of yours. Let's all be friends. What do you say?

Its really difficult to find a good friend, I know...
Like you, I'm too used many a times. But you know what, I don't feel bad. I feel that even if they are bad, I was good and that just makes me stronger..
But I've my good share of friends too. Good as in not by number but by nature. I feel I've great friends and am lucky to have them in my life. I know they can do anything in their power for me and they know that I'll do the same for them. I'm kinda friendly with everyone but time has taught me that not all people are to be trusted...
Thats what life is, isn't it ? First the test and then the lesson...

Hi Pratyush! I would love to be your friend! I agree that even though I have been thru bad experiences, good came out of it.I found myLot because one friend of mine bought me a computer. She later betrayed me. I did get a computer out of it. I also paid her back so she couldnt talk smack. I love my friends here at myLot. I would love to be your friend. dl

Oh ! It must have been a very good friendship then...
I always believe in one thing. When God says yes, he gives you good. When he says no, he wants to give you better. When he says wait, he wants to give you the best...
So maybe God wants to give you the best...

I'd love to be your friend. I don't do facebook or myspace, and I don't have a blackberry, because I'm always on the move, and don't have time to be on-line all the time. In the evening I talk to mylotters. However I have some friends who do chat and BB. It seems there are a lot of very lonely people out there, especially in Europe. I know my best friend can't leave a certain person who lives in Holland out of her daily chat and web-cam because he has only 2 friends ( 1 neighbor and herself) and no family. So on-line friendship is quite important in life nowadays.

Hello Godmother! Thanks for responding. It seems you are quite busy. I wish it were like that for me. I am unemployed and finding it hard to find a job at this time. I can only hope something will give soon. At this moment I have too much time on my hands. I sincerely hope we can be friends. As far as a certain person, who lives in holland, has only couple friends, well have to change that. Please if you would be so kind as the let this person know I would be glad to make it three. i dont mind being anyone friends, but i tell people i dont trust too many on line friends, for one people can tell you whatever they want to get you to like them, and make themslef out to be a good person but we still need to watch and be careful with whom we chat with on line and give out personal information specaily your daugher.

Trust is a big deal whether its on the internet or not. That is one of my biggest issues. I am the type of person who likes to talk. My man is always telling me that I tell too much. I am the type that feels like my life is an open book. I have no big secrets. Then there are people that have taken advantage of that. TO be honest with you, I know there are alot of people online that if given the chance they would take you for every nickel you've got. Two things: 1. MyLot isnt everyone online. 2. I have no nickels. dl

i often tell others about me but i still keep personal stuff to myself. and wont share it with people on line. but i can say i have met some real nice people on line before

Thank you for posting this. It makes me feel good to know that people choose me for a friend, too. I have a lot of friends at church. There are also people I have worked with that are my friends (and some I wouldn't care to be friends with, I hate to say). Since I sing in the Messiah every year, I have some friends there, too. Otherwise, I keep to myself pretty much. I will be sure to check out your friends list and see who I would like to be friends with. Kathy.

I have never been so happy with a discussion in my entire time here at MyLot. I am happy to tell you that we are already technically friends on MyLot. It seems that we have alot in common. I would really like to be friends. I dont have alot of people in my life that I can rely on. Sorry I am already complaining. I have so much to complain about lately. dl

Like you I haven many friend off line relaly here I can count 2 the sisters that I met on line in a bingo hall later they moved here and we get together for yup to go play bingo.
Here on the net I have many many friends I love each and every one in what the do and talk about.
most are really interesting to know.
Ya got a good idea there.

I do not accept everyone on myLot who wants to be my friend because so many are either just trying to make money or collect hundreds of friends as if it is a game to see how many they can amass. So IMO these type of people are not interested in real cyber friendships.

Of course, we can be friends. I don't know if I am the one invited you to be my friends here in Mylot or you are, but that's not matter, the important thing is that we are friends! I will help you as long as I can when you have problem I hope you do the same way. I enjoy your discussions Dloveli, I feel your honesty that is why I wanted to be there for you in every discussion you have. I never thought about it much before, but adding people because they choose to be my friend is a good concept. I always would ask my kids about their friends on myspace, asking who 'that' was or if they 'know' them. The older they got, the less I paid attention. I'm like you, not a lot of friends in real life but I have a lot of them online and odd as it sounds to some people, I have gotten closer to some of them than my own family. I've met a handful of online friends and they really are like what they portray themselves as. I've been invited to two weddings of online friends and will attend. By the way, I sent you a friend invite.

Yes its nice to have alot of friends but its hard to find a true one.One who is honest and loyal.I am lucky i got few.I would be happier to have more.I love to have friends.Those who really value friendship because i really do!

Well MAni, I know Im not your real mother. However, I wouldnt mind being your MyLot mother. I love the fact that you can give me such a great compliment as that.
