Driving is a privilege. Not a right. When you apply for a license you are agreeing to take responsibility in driving a automobile. Here is my issue and I would LOVE to here everyone's opinion. Even if you are from another county what laws do you follow? When should older people stop driving? How or Should we regulate this? What brings me to asking these questions? My Grandmother was recently involved in an automobile accident. She claims that the person who hit her was driving recklessly. The other person stated that she was driving 15mph in a 50mps zone. My Grandmother is in her late 70's. I think it's time. She is breaking the agreement the law - driving too slow is a violation. Why don't they take away her license? This follows other issues involving many older driver: I thought the gas was the break. I didn't see the stop sign. Oh I thought the light turned green. The list goes on... What do you think?

This is a hard case because the health and ability of each old person is different from the other. I know a 64 years old woman can drive very good for her age. On the other hand, one person who is younger then this woman, she was driving very slow. I know the other guy who is about fifty something, he cannot see the sign very well. With the above condition, how can we make a regulation for the old people. It won't be fair if we say, the limit is 60 years old. The proof is, there are many 60+ people who are still in good shape and able to drive like younger people. The best number for me is 60, but since we need to consider the above issues, then I will say 70 years old is the limit
