Hi guys, I first heard about lol on Facebook when I joined about a year ago, it seemed to me that everyone used it and I was skeptical about using it and always wanted to know the meaning so that I don't use it inappriopriately. Recently, an anchor on a showbiz news was reading a face book comment and said lol laugh out loud and then it hit me, this is what lol means. I was relieved noe I know what it means. How about you when and how did you know about lol? Or are you just getting to know now? lol

Before the internet LOL meant Little Old Lady, so the first time someone asked me if I was LOL, I was offended. Well, I was still a young person then! Some of my friends do not like these shortcuts, but I do, and tend to use them in real life as well as in cyberspace. I get some looks for that!
