I am 45 and for the past year I have been gaining weight in my belly only. You don't know HOW many people have asked me when my baby is due. I am getting sick of it, but walking and biking seem to do nothing for it. Any other ideas out there? I am desperate at this point. I hate looking this way.

I think walking is benefit for fat problem, and slow walking is ok.

Hi there and smile! Women really have stubborn fats in their midsection. Are you familiar with the apple shaped and pear shaped person? You've got the apple shaped where all fats are stored in your midsection and can be dangerous to your health. I have the same body shape with you. It came to a point that when i ride in train station, i will go to "pregnant and kid section" and people there will believe i am pregnant because of my belly. It makes my belly big that my boobs is not noticeable already. I also have a hard time walking and doing physical activity because i easily get tired. I feel so heavy that i breathe so fast.I managed to slim down with the help of lemon juice at the start of my morning and also added physical activity like jogging and dancing. Still i have this fat round my tummy. Its really stubborn, though its not bigger than before. Everyone really needs to do crunches to get it effective. Happy mylotting!

Hi, Since you're gaining weight in the belly area, you might have a thyroid problem but I suspect it's probably some kind of hormone related issue that's causing the weight gain in the belly. I also had a weight gain in the belly area, and was caused by a hormonal imbalance. I went to a Naturopath and was put on some pills for my hormones, and gradually the lbs have come off and I'm finally slim again. Also you might even have a food allergy too which can cause weight gain and bloating in the abdomen. Are you also eating lower carbs as well? Cut out the "white foods" as in white bread, potatoes, white pasta because they can really spike up your insulin and cause you to gain weight.

Hello Rhodak! :) For me i think running is still the best for loosing those fats.. it did work for me, because before im 145lbs and then after my friend and i started to run every morning like i woke up around 5am then an hour of run, i lost about 10lbs now i weigh 135lbs :) i also started drinking lots of water and eat lots or fruits and vegetables.. junkfoods and fastfood is a big no no for loosing weight... hope this helps :)

fats on our tummy are really stuborn fats but you already made a step in losing your fat belly now all you need to do is carefully watch your diet, this means watch your intake of carbs, calories, and unhealthy fats, eat more fiber like fruits and vegies, always look the label or the nutritional value of food you buy..
