What do you think is the most controversial verse in the bible? When I was still televiewing church channel, I used to hear a lot of explanation or interpretation to different verses but I was just interested into something that i would get to uplift me and give me hope. However, a question was posed on my mind recently, what specific verse in the bible that is really so controversial?

Personally, I haven't found any verse in the Bible to be controversial, but I can think of two that some people would find objection with.
Firstly John 3:18 tells us that whoever believes in Jesus is not condemned, but he who does NOT believe is ALREADY CONDEMNED, because he has NOT believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God.
Then Jesus Himself said "I am THE WAY, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me" (John 14:6)
Many people would find those verses controversial simply because they claim there is ONLY ONE WAY to God.

I think I'd have to agree with Cloudwatcher.
Or, it could be this one: Genesis 1:1 In the beginning...
Not many people want to contemplate God as Creator now a days.
