Do you have any Christmas Traditions that you will always carry out at this time of year? Our family would always have a christmas party on Christmas Eve, all aunts uncles cousins etc would meet at my grandparents house. The children will get one gift they can open on Christmas Eve. I am now in Bulgaria and they have a Christmas Eve ritual. They all sit together for a meal and tell fortunes to see what the year will be like. They crack a walnut and if it tastes good it will be a good year, if it tastes bad then the year will also be bad. I would love to learn about other countries traditions. What are your traditions for christmas?

My family will always have a nice noche buena and while waiting for that moment "christmas" we go to church at around ten (10)pm on the 24th and usually the mass will end an hour so there's still almost an hour left before christmas. With the remaining time left, we gather in the living room while listening different kinds of christmas songs. That's what we do during christmas day...

My husband and I allow each other to open one gift on Christmas Eve. We spend Christmas Eve with his cousins and Christmas Day we rest by ourselves. We hang up our Christmas Stockings on Christmas Eve just before we go to bed. I do not have any children yet, but I am hoping to by next year. I hope to keep the traditions of baking cookies, bread, fudge and candy. I do this the week before Christmas. I am also hoping to keep the tradition that every year each member of the family will donate a toy to the toys for tots drive. I will also read the story "T'was the Night Before Christmas" on Christmas Eve before the kids go to bed.
