I saw two falling stars last night. And i wish after. Did you do the same thing

Well they said, when you see falling star or shooting star, you have to wish and i did it last night. I just wondering why people do that? or believe on that? Is there a possibility of your wish come true. Well it depends on your wish. Ill be glad if i can hear some opinions here. =) Belle

And they are really fast, in just one snap they are totally gone! Hehe wish i can see a meteor shower! that would be great yeah.
