Why do youtube do not pay us for uploading our videos? Knowing that they earn millions of dollars because of our uploaded videos? I think it's not only million but billions of dollars.

I think there are some subsidiary companies that may not be legal but do pay you for doing something with youtube. There are other companies out there that pay you for uploading videos. I believe I saw a link on pcmoneymaker.net if you'd like to visit that link, it has other money making opportunities as well! That's not a referral link by the way!

There are many people out there willing to upload their video to youtube for free, so they don't need to offer any payment for them . It sounds a good business, isn't it? People are making video in their daily life, and they want to show their video to the world

hello rjvb, i have asked myself that since i got to know mylot, but the thing is that they will surely run out of business if they ever try to pay it's members, which is by the way almost every one on the planet. and my videos are way more than original content, they are sims and some are unique that hasn't been made before. too bad, my computer is screwed and the only videos that are saved now is in Youtube

They are now paying people who upload original content but I think that program is limited to US members. They are now sharing revenues with those members.

Well, people upload videos to get famous or just for fun, some more, youtube has thousands of videos you can't find in any other sites. So i don't think people upload videos to get money

O yes they upload videos for fun, cause they are not aware of youtube gaining so much money because of their videos, Anyway thank you so much for the response.

ya but they r doing all the hard work also. do u know much it cost to upload all the videos and manage them. to have a team of people to recognise if the video is right or not. all the copy right problem and also give u a good marketing tool. i dont think they need to pay u even if they r earning billion. if want to u can upload other wise its your choice

Maybe because Youtube does not actually make millions of dollars, they're still losing a lot of money, about $500 million in 2009. Bandwidth and storage to stream hundreds of millions of videos per day is not cheap!
