how do i stop feeding my 16month old daughter

ok i've got a real problem,my doc advised me to stop feeding my daughter cause of which she dosent feel hungry most of the time,and refuses to eat.its been a month now and i still find it hard to put her to sleep without feeding her.at night its worse cause she'll keep in her mouth and fall asleep but wont drink nor leave me.somebody please help this distress mom.
